How fast do Bravecto Chews work?
Bravecto has been shown to start killing fleas within 2 hours of administration and demonstrated up to 100% effectiveness against adult fleas within 48 hours post-infestation for 12 weeks. It has also demonstrated >93% effectiveness against black-legged ticks, brown dog ticks, Asian longhorned ticks, and American dog ticks 48 hours post-infestation for 12 weeks. Moreover, Bravecto chews have demonstrated =90% effectiveness against Lone Star ticks for 8 weeks.
How do Bravecto Chews work?
Bravecto Chews for Dogs are formulated with fluralaner, a powerful ingredient that inhibits the nervous system of insects, causing paralysis and death. After administration, fluralaner is absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed systemically. When fleas and ticks feed on your dog, they ingest fluralaner and die.
Important Notes:
- Bravecto Chews are not effective against Lone Star ticks beyond 8 weeks of dosing.
- Contains fluralaner, a member of the isoxazoline class. Isoxazoline class drugs have been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Use with caution in dogs with a history of neurologic disorders.
